Storm's Cottage

stormwitchWhen Ororo set eyes on this cottage three years ago, she instantly knew it was hers. The large open doors, the abundance of natural light, the plants that seemed to be overtaking the land, everything was perfect. In fact, she had little to improve upon, simply add her own personal touches.
The entrance isn't overly impressive, but that wouldn't be her style anyway. The cottage is built in the style of a savannah hut, completely with faux thatched roofs - one of the reasons she instantly felt in love with the place. Her small silver car always sits in the driveway, even though she rarely uses it. Walking is just as effective, and she's always free to fly anywhere on the island. The car is almost exclusively used for larger shopping trips.
Ororo has never once attempted to trim the plants that grow everywhere. She actually encourages their growth, whipping up small rainshowers whenever they're looking a little thirsty or drying the air out when they're looking over-saturated. Despite the plant life almost making its way into the home, there's never any lack of natural light.
The living room, dining room, and kitchen all stretch across the front half of the cottage. The fireplace in the living room is almost constantly lit, with something brewing over it. Ororo prefers to keep the doors and windows wide open, letting in whatever breeze - natural or Storm-made - there is flow through the house.
There are two guest rooms, which share a bathroom. Ororo has no problem playing hostess, and has often thought of adding another, smaller house to her property specifically for overnight or extended stay guests.
Her bedroom, however, is strictly off-limits to her guests. While she is very open about sharing her residence, she likes having just one room that is hers and hers alone. Especially if that room is fairly sizable and includes a shower and jacuzzi.
The large doors of her bedroom lead out to a shaded porch and pool. There's plenty of additional seating, a small barbecue and firepit, as well as an outdoor shower.
