As the healer at the slave villa, Storm's job was fairly regular. Weekly exams of the slaves to ensure everyone was in decent health, more thorough exams after slaves were returned from being rented. The consistent weather meant flu season never arrived, and except for having to keep an eye on new arrivals for their first few months, it wasn't very exciting.
She preferred it that way, honestly. After a lifetime of surprise and danger, having a regular schedule was nice. She could actually plan things and not have to worry that her plans would get cancelled. She could switch off from high alert and relax instead of relaxing whenever she caught a few seconds of peace.
Still, it got a little.... boring sometimes, but it made her spring into action during a real emergency that much more quickly.
Like right now, as one of the slaves had been brought back to the villa after an engagement in a rather bloody state.
She stuck her head out into the hallway and waved down the nearest person, not caring if it was slave or guard. "You. In here, now. I need an extra set of hands."
